Paragraph 6 of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 states:
Calls on the international community to take immediate steps to extend its financial and humanitarian assistance to the Lebanese people, including through facilitating the safe return of displaced persons and, under the authority of the Government of Lebanon, reopening airports and harbors, consistent with paragraphs 14 and 15, and calls on it also to consider further assistance in the future to contribute to the reconstruction and development of Lebanon;
What about Israel? What about the 5,500+ houses and apartments, 30+ businesses, 20+ factories, and 19 communities in northern Israel that have been damaged in 30 days of rocket barrages? What about the one million+ Israeli people that have been displaced?
Israel didn't start this war, Hizb'Allah did. The same Hizb'Allah that many of the "innocent" citizens of Lebanon supported and cheered on as they bombed Israel. The same Hizb'Allah to whom Lebanese Prime Minister Fuoad Siniora expressed his gratitude. And now the world wants to reward all those "innocent" citizens for their support of the Hizb'Allah terrorist organization.
Do you see it? For all of my life I have heard the cry "we will never forget" but, alas, the world has chosen to forget. They have chosen to forget the Holocaust because almost every nation, especially the "Allies", were a part of it. They all contributed to Hitler's plan in one way or another, either directly or indirectly. And they know it.
The problem is that as long as Israel exists it proves that the God of Israel — the Creator of all the heavens and the earth — exists and that all men will one day stand in judgment before Him. If the world can, for once and for all, get rid of the Jews, then, perhaps, they can believe that there is no God that they must answer to. But, there is a God; there is one God — the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — and He has chosen Israel to be His people, and He has chosen a strip of land in the Middle East — from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River Euphrates — as His own special land. No matter what the nations do, that will never change. No matter what any religion says, it shall remain that way for all of eternity. Get used to — the God of Israel, He reigns!
