Why is it that the media of the world feel they need to use different guidelines when reporting on Israel? As a spate of terror attacks has rocked Israel, headlines around the world have twisted facts, in many cases making it seem as if Israelis are the evil perpetrators rather than the victims of violence.
Although Arab myth tells of Israel driving the Arabs out in 1948, it was their leaders who told them to leave. To this day the Arab nations still refuse to absorb them into the surrounding Arab nations, preferring instead to let them suffer in refugee camps even though most of them were not even alive in 1948.
The West, with all its learned scholars and so-called Middle East, Arab, and Islamic experts, just doesn't grasp the nature of the Middle East. It constantly tries to impose Western thinking on a region that has been in existence much longer than the populated West. It fails to change its thinking in order to adjust to the "facts on the ground", as it is fond of saying.
"On November 18, four people were murdered in cold blood while they were praying, and another died trying to save them. The very next day, we went on the defensive. As we always have, as we always do, even in the midst of tragedy. The seven-day mourning period has barely started and we are already explaining why we have the audacity to want to survive."
It is one of the great mysteries of US foreign policy that while terrorists from around the world are routinely extradited to the US to be prosecuted for attacks on US citizens, there is one class of killers that seems to be immune from extradition: "Palestinians". More than 100 US citizens have been murdered by "Palestinian" terrorist attacks, mostly in Israel but sometimes in other countries, in the last several decades. Yet not a single "Palestinian" terrorist involved in those attacks has ever been brought to trial in the U.S.
Some 550 people from the radical left in Israel are undermining Israeli democracy, saying: "We will establish an IS State now because we will impose something we want. We will do it with the help of foreign governments because the government of Israel is not a legitimate body in our view. We will force our government to do what we, 550 people representing 0.006% of the Israeli public, believe. We shall establish the State of 'Palestine' and turn the status of the State of Israel into that of a banana republic."
American Jews, like the German Jews prior to World War II, continue to deceive themselves. "I'm an American", they say. And they believe that is the way they are seen by the Gentiles and so, therefore, they do not see how the Gentiles in the United States are beginning to fear them. But it's the Gentiles who will quickly teach them they're a Jew.
US President Obama continually refuses to release Jonathan Pollard from prison despite the fact that many Israeli and US government leaders, including those from the FBI, CIA, NSA and Department of Justice, have called for his release. Contrary to statements spread by uninformed individuals, Pollard was never indicted for harming the United States, for compromising codes, agents, or war plans, nor was he ever charged with treason. Pollard was indicted on only one charge: one count of passing classified information to an ally, without intent to harm the United States, for which the usual sentence is only two to four years. One fact that stands out significantly is that while the United States continues to refuse to honor the plea agreement it made with Pollard, it demands that Israel release hundreds of terrorists who have been tried and convicted of committing multiple, heinous murders, of whom many of the victims are US citizens.
Irena Sendler was a Polish Gentile who rescued more than 2,500 Jewish children from the Warsaw ghetto. The Life in a Jar project celebrates her accomplishments in defeating Hitler's intended murder of these children.

The government of Israel maintains several security corridors for the transfer of goods, humanitarian aid, fuel supplies, and other assistance for Gaza's Arab civilian population. Gaza is currently controlled by Hamas, a quasi-independent political/terrorist branch of the Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority, based in Ram'Allah. This corridor is used by internationally recognized organizations including the United Nations and the Red Cross. Additional details can be found in our Gaza section.
